France marked the start of their Euro 2016 campaign with a well-fought victory against Romania after beating them 2-1.
Arsenal's olivier Giroud scored the first goal of the match and the tournament, a goal that was assisted by Dimitri Payet.
Romania fought back to secure a penalty for themselves which leveled up the game for them after Stancu converted it.
Almost when the match was about to end, Dimitri Payet scored an amazing goal from a beautiful strike from 25m away from the goal which handed France the lead and finally won it for them.
France still has Albania and Switzerland to play in the coming days to complete their group stage matches.
