Manchester united wedges going into a penalty shoot-out in the final game of the FA cup against Crystal Palace who showed their good defensive powers by holding Manchester United till after 120 minutes of football. Crystal Palace sub Jason Puncheon opened the scoring of the match in the late minutes of the second half with a cool finish past De Gea from a close range. Manchester United responded to the goal few minutes later with Wayne Rooney racing and dribbling past the midfield players before crossing to Marouane Fellaini who chested it down for Juan Mata to Strike the ball which deflected though Dann's legs to find it's way to the back of the net to level it up for the red devils. The match ended 1-1 after 90 minutes, the extra time resumed when Chris Smalling was sent off after picking up his second yellow after bringing Yannick Bolasie down to add more tension to Manchester United. But despite the pressure, they managed to get into the 18 yard box with Antonio Valencia cross being stopped by Delaney which sets it up for Jesse Lingard to strike a sublime finish giving Wayne Hennessey no chance to get near the ball. The strike was enough to hand manchester united their first professional trophy since Sir Alex Ferguson retired from his managerial position and Louis Van Gaal his first major trophy after it ended 1-2 .
